Open Settings in the menu. Venue settings is the first tab along the top, next to Team, Roles and Activity.
The page has its own tabs: General, Venue details, Booking terms, Branding, Payments, Domains and, for the owner, Closing. This page covers General, Venue details, Branding and Closing. The others have their own pages: Booking terms, Payments and booking fees and Domains and email.
You need the Change venue settings permission to change anything. Without it you see the settings but cannot edit them.
One save for several tabs. General, Venue details, Branding and the booking fee on Payments are one form. Save changes at the bottom saves everything you changed on any of them, and a line under it reminds you when there are changes on another tab. Discard changes undoes them all. Logos, forecasts, booking terms and domains save on their own.
General
Identity: what customers and staff see.
- Venue name (required). On your storefront, event pages, tickets and emails, and in the back office header.
- Legal name. Your company's registered name, used on receipts and invoices.
- Web address. The address you chose when you created the venue, for example
tickets.floorful.app/your-venue. It cannot be changed, because changing it would break every link you have shared. To use your own domain, see Domains and email. - Description. A few lines about your venue, shown on your storefront. Use the language buttons to write it in your customers' other languages too. A language you leave blank shows your main text.
Venue details
Operations
Defaults that new events start with. Each event can change them.
- Timezone (required). Every time in the back office, on your storefront and on tickets is in this zone.
- Currency (required). Choose it before you price anything. It is fixed once you have priced tickets or made a sale, so your prices and sales stay in one currency.
- Storefront language. English or Español: what customers see first. They can switch on the page.
- Country (required). Where your business is registered. Set it before connecting Stripe: Stripe fixes it when the account is created, and it cannot be changed after.
- Capacity. Fills in the capacity of each new event. Each event can be set higher or lower. See Event settings.
- Minimum age. Fills in each new event's minimum age.
- Contact email. Where customers can write to you.
- Contact phone. On customers' tickets as a number they can tap to call.
- Address. On customers' tickets, with a directions link. Write it as you would on an envelope. Use Check where this lands on Google Maps to make sure the directions go to the right place.
- Google Maps link. Only if the address lands in the wrong place. Open your venue in Google Maps, press Share and paste the link here. Directions then go exactly there.
- Entry rules. Your usual rules, such as dress code and ID. Shown to customers before they buy, and each event starts with them.
Checkout
- Ask customers for their birthday. Off unless you turn it on. Customers give the day and month only, and it is always optional for them. Useful for birthday offers in segments and campaigns.
Marketing emails
- Most per customer, per week. The most marketing emails one customer can get from you in a week. Every campaign counts, automatic ones too. Tickets and receipts never count. It starts at 2.
Most venues send 1 to 3 a week. More than 4 tends to bring more unsubscribes and spam reports, and fewer of your emails reach the inbox. Above 4, the screen warns you, but it is your call.
Tables
Defaults for every table. A table, or a single event, can change either. See Floor plan.
- Default minimum spend. Used by minimum-spend tables that do not set their own.
- Default deposit. Taken at checkout, with the rest of the table owed at the venue. Leave it empty to take the full amount when customers book.
Forecasts
Where the venue is, so each night's forecast shows your own region's public holidays and the weather. It has its own Save location button.
- Region. For regional public holidays. Without one, every region's holidays are shown, each with where it applies.
- Location. Your venue's latitude and longitude, such as
39.5696, 2.6502. In Google Maps, right-click your venue and click the numbers at the top to copy them, then paste them here.
The weather comes from MET Norway, up to nine days ahead. Only these coordinates are sent to them.
Branding
- Logo. PNG, JPEG or WebP. It keeps its own proportions, so a wide wordmark stays wide, and a transparent background is kept. The storefront shows it on a dark background. It saves as soon as you upload it.
- Storefront appearance. Dark, or Light, which puts your events on a white page with dark text. Your accent colour stays either way.
- Accent colour. A 6-digit hex colour such as
#C8A15A, used for buttons and highlights on your storefront. - Logo for a light background. Only shown when the storefront is set to Light. Without one, the storefront uses your main logo.
- Square mark. Your badge or symbol, not the wordmark. Apple Wallet and Google Wallet passes draw it inside a circle, so anything wide is unreadable there. Square works best.
Closing
Only the owner sees this tab. Closing this venue stops every sale and keeps every record.
- Records says how long your records are kept. A venue that has taken payments keeps its orders, refunds and financial records indefinitely, even after closing. A venue that has never sold anything may have its records removed 30 days after closing.
- Close venue asks for an optional Reason, recorded in the activity log. Sales stop straight away on every event. Orders, tickets, refunds and financial records are all kept. If customers on a cancelled event are still owed refunds, closing is refused until those are settled.
- Reopen venue undoes a close at any time.
- Delete permanently only appears if the venue has never sold anything. It removes the venue, its events, tickets, tables and floor plans for good. A venue that has taken money can never be deleted.
