A segment is a saved group of customers, such as "Lapsed regulars" or "Table bookers". It is counted live: as customers come, spend and book, they move in and out of it on their own. A campaign is sent to a segment, and only reaches the people in it who said yes to marketing.
Open Customers, then the Segments tab. Segments are for owners and managers: you need Edit or erase customer details.
Your segments
Each segment shows how many Customers are in it now and how many Can be emailed. Click one to see its customers in the list. From its menu (the three dots), Edit it or Delete it. Deleting a segment keeps the customers: only the saved filter goes.
Start from a ready-made one
Under Start from one venues use most:
- Lapsed regulars: at least 3 visits, not seen for 60 days.
- First-timers: exactly one visit.
- Big spenders: spent at least 300 in your currency.
- Table bookers: have booked a table.
- No-shows: at least one no-show.
Pick one to open it with those conditions filled in. Change anything you like, then save it.
Make a segment
Press New segment and give it a Name. Every condition you set must be true. Leave a field empty to ignore it. As you change them, the box at the top counts how many customers match and how many of them can be emailed.
Visits
- At least and At most: how many times they have come through the door.
- Came in the last (days).
- Not seen for (days). This includes people who never came.
- Birthday within (days): only people who gave their birthday. See Ask customers for their birthday.
Spending
- Spent at least: an amount.
- Bought in the last (days).
- No-shows, at least.
- Tables: Anyone, Has booked a table or Never booked a table.
Who
- Came to a night: a series, or Any.
- Likes: a music genre. They bought or came to a night with this music. Tick Came to, not only bought to count only those who came.
- Membership: Member now, Membership expired or Never a member.
- First came via: a promoter.
- Language: English or Spanish.
- Tag: one of your tags.
- Marketing: Can be emailed or Do not email.
If some of your past events have no music genre set, the screen says how many, so you can add them: music conditions can only find nights that have one.
Press Save segment.
