Open Customers, then the Members tab. It lists every membership card sold or given away. A card admits to every event unless that event turns members away (see Event settings).

You need See members to open it, Sell memberships to issue, renew and send cards, and Set up membership types and cancel memberships to cancel one.

Before your first member, create the cards you sell under Membership types.

The list

Each member shows:

  • Member: the name on the card, and the company on a corporate card.
  • Membership: its type, its access (such as Access all areas), how many people it admits, and given away if it was free.
  • Status: Awaiting payment, Active, Expired or Cancelled. A renewal still to be paid shows Renewal awaiting payment.
  • Valid until.

Use Search members (name, company, card number or email) and Status to narrow it. Click a member to open their card.

New member

Press New member:

  • Membership (required): the type, with its price.
  • Name on the card (required).
  • Company: optional. Shown on the card.
  • Email (required). The card goes to this email, with a QR for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet, once it is paid, or straight away if it is given.
  • Price for this card: leave it blank for the usual price.

Then either:

  • Create payment link: choose how long the Link valid for. The member pays by card and the card starts as soon as it is paid. You get the link to copy, and can email it to them from the same window.
  • Give it away: complimentary, active now: tick it, give a Reason such as "Partner deal" (recorded against the order) and press Give membership. Needs Give complimentary tickets and tables.

A free membership type is active as soon as it is issued.

Change a card

From a member's menu (the three dots):

  • Copy payment link and Email payment link, while a link is waiting to be paid.
  • New payment link, when an unpaid one ran out. It is for the same card at the same price.
  • Renew: a payment link that adds the type's length. A card still running is extended from its end date, so nothing is lost by renewing early.
  • Email the card: sends the card and its QR again.
  • Replace lost card: issues a new card. The old QR stops working.
  • Cancel membership: the card stops admitting at once and any payment link on it is withdrawn. Give a Reason, recorded on the card. Nothing is refunded by cancelling: refund from the order if money is owed. See Order details.

A member's card

Opening a member shows:

  • Access: what the card gets them into.
  • Admits: how many people per visit.
  • At the door: Free entry, or what they pay per person.
  • Valid from and Valid until, and the Price paid, or Given away with the reason.
  • A payment waiting, with whether its link is live and how many times it has been opened.
  • When it was cancelled and why, or when the card was replaced.
  • Payments: every order for the card.
  • Contact, with a link to their Customer record.
  • Terms: the terms as the card was sold. Editing the type or the default terms later does not change them.

At the door, the door app shows the member's name, card and access when the card is scanned. See Door app.
