Go to Settings, then the Domains tab. It has two cards: Your own domain for your storefront, and Emails from your own address for the emails customers get.
Both are optional. Without them, your storefront is at tickets.floorful.app/your-venue and emails come from Floorful's address with your venue's name on them. Your Floorful address keeps working either way.
You need the Change venue settings permission.
Your own domain
Serve your storefront from a name you own. A subdomain works best, such as tickets.yourclub.com.
Type it in Hostname and press Add. It shows as Awaiting DNS.
At the company that manages your domain (where you bought it, or your DNS provider), add the two records the card shows:
- a TXT record, which proves the domain is yours;
- a CNAME record, which points the name at Floorful.
Use Copy value to copy each one exactly.
Press Check now. DNS can take up to an hour to update, so if it is not found yet, try again later. The card shows when it last checked and what it found.
When the check passes, the domain is live, and its security certificate follows within a few minutes. If the card says the name is already attached to another site, or is not being served yet, write to Floorful support.
Managing your domains
- Primary: the domain used in every public link the back office gives you, such as event links and share buttons. With more than one, press Make primary on the one you want.
- Switch off stops a domain serving your storefront without removing it. Switch on brings it back. A switched-off domain shows Off.
- Remove stops it serving your storefront straight away. Links you shared using it stop working. Your Floorful address is not affected.
Emails from your own address
Ticket, table and membership emails come from Floorful's address with your venue's name on them, and when customers reply, the reply comes to you. You can ask for them to come from your own address instead, such as tickets@yourvenue.com.
- Type the address in Send from and press Request. It must be at your venue's own domain: personal addresses like Gmail cannot be used. The card shows Requested.
- Floorful switches it on, usually within a working day. The card then says Add DNS records and shows them.
- Add those records at the company that manages your domain. They do not change where your own email goes. Then press Check now. DNS can take a few hours to update. Each record shows Found or Not found yet.
When every record is found, the card shows In use and your customer emails come from your address.
Until then, and if the records ever stop working, emails carry on coming from Floorful's address with your venue's name, so nothing is ever lost.
Changing or stopping
- Change address picks a different address to send from. An address on a different domain goes through the steps above again.
- Cancel request withdraws a request that has not been switched on yet.
- Stop using it goes back to Floorful's address, still with your venue's name and with replies coming to you.
