New sale is how your team sells for an event themselves: at the box office, over the phone, on WhatsApp or at the door. Open it with New sale at the top of an event, Sell in the events list, or Sell at the door on the Overview. You need Sell at the door or box office.

It also sells what is not on public sale, for example before the sales window opens: the box office can still sell it.

1. Choose what they are buying

  • Tickets: each of the event's tickets, with how many are left. Use Add and Remove to set how many.
  • Tables: the tables free right now. If you can hold tables, the ones you are holding show too. Each shows how many guests it takes, any extra guests allowed, and, for a deposit table, what is paid now and what is paid at the venue. Pick one and set the Guests at this table.

If you pick a table someone is holding, Floorful asks: Sell to the person it is held for, or Sell to someone else. Selling the table ends the hold once the sale is paid. If you discard the sale, the hold stays.

2. Who it is for

  • Email (required). They get their tickets at this address. If they are already a customer, their name fills in.
  • Name.

If you can give tickets away, there is also Complimentary: tick Give these away and give a Reason, such as "Artist guest list". Nothing is charged, and the tickets still use up inventory and scan normally. Needs Give complimentary tickets and tables.

Press Continue. The booking fee is added now that the sale is priced.

3. Check the sale

The sale gets a reference, such as Sale HVLQPQTD. Until it is settled, nothing has been issued and no money has been taken. It shows:

  • Tickets and tables.
  • Discount, if any.
  • Booking fee, split into Floorful's share and Your share.
  • Customer pays: the total.

Discount

If you can apply discounts, set one here: a Percent or an amount in your currency, and a Reason (recorded). Press Apply. A discount cannot take the price to zero: give the tickets away instead. Needs Apply a discount.

Sold by

If a promoter brought this customer in, choose them under Seller, so commission follows the sale. Leave it at Nobody (a direct sale) otherwise.

4. Get paid

Pick one.

They pay by card on their own phone. Choose how long it is Valid for: 1 hour, 6 hours, 24 hours, 3 days or 7 days. Press Send payment link.

The link is emailed to them, and shown on screen with Copy, so you can send it on WhatsApp too. The sale holds its tickets, and any table, until they pay or the link expires. You can find the sale again under Orders. Needs Send a payment link.

Or take the money now

You took the money yourself: cash, your own card terminal or a bank transfer.

  • Method: Cash, Card, venue terminal, Bank transfer or Other.
  • Reference: optional, such as a till number or transfer reference.

Press Take with the amount. The tickets are issued and emailed straight away. Floorful takes no fee on money you collect yourself.

Issue

For a complimentary sale, no payment is taken: press Issue tickets.

Discard throws the sale away. Nothing was charged, and anything it was holding is released.
