This is the order most venues set up in. Each step links to the page that explains it in full. To sell your first tickets you need steps 1, 3 and 7; the rest can follow.
1. Create your account and venue
Sign up, then give your venue a name, a web address, a timezone and a currency. See Create your account and venue.
Pick the currency before you price anything. It is fixed once you have priced a ticket or made a sale.
2. Fill in your venue's details
In Settings, then Venue details, add your address, contact email and phone. They go on every ticket. Set your country here too, before connecting Stripe.
In Branding, upload your logo and choose your accent colour, so your storefront and emails look like yours.
See Venue settings.
3. Connect Stripe
Customers pay into your own Stripe account, so nothing can be sold until it is connected. In Settings, then Payments, press Connect Stripe and follow Stripe's steps. It takes a few minutes. On the same tab, set your own booking fee if you charge one.
See Payments and booking fees.
4. Write your booking terms
Your cancellation and refund rules, dress code and table rules. Customers accept them when they pay. See Booking terms.
5. Set up your ticket types
Under Inventory, then Ticket types, create the tickets you sell most nights, such as Early bird, General admission and VIP entry. Each new event can start from them. See Ticket types.
6. Draw your floor plan
If you sell VIP tables, upload a picture of your venue's plan under Inventory, then Floor plan, and place your tables on it with their prices and how many people each one takes. See Floor plan.
7. Create your first event
Under Events, press Create event, add its tickets and tables, then Publish event. Your event is now on your storefront. For a night that repeats every week, create a series instead. See Events and Series.
8. Invite your team
Under Settings, then Team, invite the people who manage events, sell and work the door, each with the right role. See Team and Roles.
9. Get the door ready
Your door staff scan tickets with the Floorful door app, on any phone or tablet. Invite a team member with the Staff role for each door device, sign in to the door app at door.floorful.app with it, and open the night's event before doors. See Door app.
10. Add your card
During the 30-day free trial, put a card on file so the back office keeps working when the trial ends. See Free trial and billing.
