Open Marketing, then the Agents tab. Agents are the teams and people who sell for you: promoters, PR teams, agencies. Each has a link; every sale through it records who sold it, and commission follows the money.

You need See promoters and sellers to open it, Manage promoters and teams to change it, Set commission rates to set what they earn, and Approve and pay commission to mark it paid.

The tab has three views: Performance, Links and Teams. Start with Teams.

Teams

A team is a promoter, PR team or agency, with the people in it.

Create a team

Press New team:

  • Name (required). For example "Tom's Team".
  • Address: part of the team's link. It is made from the name if you leave it blank, and cannot change later, because links using it are shared.
  • Commission, the Team rule: Percentage of sales (a percent) or Fixed amount per order (an amount).
  • Promoters' share of the commission: what each promoter gets of the commission on their own sales; the team keeps the rest. 100% means it all goes to the promoter. It applies to future sales.

Press Create team.

Add a seller

From the team's menu (the three dots), press Add seller:

  • Name (required). For example "Tommy".
  • Address: their link is the team's address plus their own. Made from the name if blank.
  • Email: where their portal invitation goes.
  • Commission: leave it on the team rule unless this person has a different deal.

Each seller is listed under their team with their commission, their Portal access and Active or Off.

Switch off

Switch off a team or seller and their links stop attributing sales. Switch on brings them back. Edit changes their name or commission; the address cannot change.

One link per team and one per seller. A customer who arrives through a link is attributed to it for 30 days, whichever event they end up buying.

  • Links point to: The venue's event listing, or one event.
  • Copy link copies it, ready to send.

Promoters only see events and tickets you let them sell. See Event settings and Event tickets.

Performance

What a team sold through its links, for Whole team or one Seller, over a Period: All time, Last 30 days, Last 90 days or Last 12 months. Direct sales are on Reports, which tells the two apart.

  • Sales: tickets and tables.
  • Revenue, net of refunds.
  • Owed to the agency, with how much has been paid so far. Owed and paid are balances today, whatever the period.
  • Their share: what the promoters get, and what the agency keeps.
  • Earned, with any commission reversed on refunds.
  • By seller, By event and Recent: each sale with its reference, whether it came through a Link or the Box office, and its total.

Mark commission paid

Floorful moves no money: you pay agents however you pay people, then record it here.

  • Mark as paid, on a seller, records that you have paid them everything currently owed.
  • Mark agency paid, on a team, records that you have paid the agency everything owed on its sales. The agency settles its own promoters.

The promoter portal

Promoters can log in to see their own links, sales and commission, and put names on the guest list. See Promoter portal.

On a seller with an email, press Invite to portal and choose:

  • As team lead: runs the team: adds promoters, invites them, sets each promoter's share of the team's commission and sees everyone's sales.
  • As promoter: sees their own links, sales and share, and puts names on the guest list.

An email goes to them with a link to set a password. If it could not be sent, the window shows the link once, for you to send yourself. The seller then shows as invited, with Re-invite if they need a new link.

Agents never see your back office, and they are not on your Team.
