Go to Settings, then the Payments tab. It has three cards: Booking fee, Payments (your Stripe account) and Your Floorful subscription.
How the money moves
Customers pay straight into your own Stripe account. Floorful never holds your money.
It is a full Stripe account in your venue's name, not a limited one inside Floorful. Stripe's processing fees and any chargebacks are settled there, between you and Stripe, and payouts go from Stripe to your bank on Stripe's schedule.
Connect Stripe
Only the owner can connect Stripe.
- On the Venue details tab, set your venue's Country and save. Stripe fixes the country when the account is created, and it cannot be changed after. The Connect Stripe button stays greyed out until a country is set.
- Press Connect Stripe. Stripe asks for your business details and where payouts should go. It takes a few minutes.
- Stripe sends you back to this tab, which checks with Stripe and says where things stand.
If you stopped halfway, the button says Continue with Stripe and picks up where you left off. Check again asks Stripe for the latest status. If a Stripe link has expired, Floorful says so: start again when you are ready.
Once connected, Update Stripe details takes you back to Stripe to change them, and Open Stripe opens your Stripe dashboard, where you sign in with your own Stripe login.
What the status means
The Stripe account badge, and the line under it:
- Not connected. Connect Stripe to take payments. Until then the venue can be set up but cannot sell.
- Not finished. Stripe still needs some details before it accepts payments.
- Being reviewed. Stripe has the details and is reviewing them. Payments start working without anything more from you.
- Connected. Payments are working. On a new account Stripe may not have confirmed payouts yet, which is normal.
- Payouts blocked. Payments work, but Stripe will not pay out yet. The money is safe in your Stripe balance. It usually needs bank details or proof of identity, which you add in Stripe.
- Restricted. Stripe is restricting the account. Payments still go through for now. Sort it out in your Stripe dashboard before that changes.
Payouts shows Enabled, Not yet enabled or Managed in your Stripe dashboard.
Customers cannot check out until Stripe accepts payments on the account. The Overview shows a notice until it does.
Booking fee
What the customer pays on top of the ticket or table price. The customer sees one line, the booking fee. It has two parts:
- Floorful's fee: 1% of what the customer pays, at least 1 € per ticket and at least 5 € per table. If you have agreed a different rate with Floorful, the card says so, and until when.
- Your fee, if you charge one. Set it here.
Set your fee separately for Tickets and for Tables:
- Your fee. A percentage of what the customer pays.
- Plus a fixed amount per ticket. Added to every ticket and membership, on top of the percentage.
- Plus a fixed amount per table. Added once per table booking, on top of the percentage.
Both start at nothing. Press Save changes at the bottom of the page to save.
The example under the fees
The grey box works out what a customer pays for a 50 € ticket with your settings: the ticket, the total booking fee and the total. It then says how much of the booking fee is Floorful's and how much is yours. Fees are per ticket and added up.
On a table taken with a deposit, both fees are charged on the full table price or minimum spend, not on the deposit. So a 500 € table taken on a 200 € deposit carries the same booking fee as one paid in full. The balance paid at the venue carries no further fee.
