Edit details
Press Edit details to change their Name, Phone, Language (for emails; Automatic uses the language they last bought in) and Birthday (day and month only, optional).
The email cannot be changed: it is how a sale finds an existing customer.
Marketing
Whether they Can be emailed or Do not email, and since when: when they said yes to news and offers, or unsubscribed. History shows every change, with the wording they agreed to.
Only the customer can say yes to marketing, by ticking the box when they buy. You cannot opt someone in from here.
Stop marketing emails, in More actions, records that they no longer want news and offers, for example if they ask you in person. They stop being emailed marketing at once. Only they can say yes again, on a future purchase. Tickets and receipts are still sent.
Erase a customer
When a customer asks for their data to be removed, use Erase customer in More actions. Their name, email, phone, notes and birthday are removed for good. Their orders stay, without them, so your accounts still add up. It cannot be undone.
You need Edit or erase customer details to edit, tag, stop marketing or erase.
