How a members' club runs on Floorful

A members' club lives on two things: members who keep renewing, and a door that treats them like members. Floorful handles both, alongside the public nights that pay the rent.

Decide what membership means

Set up access levels for the parts of the club, such as the main room, the terrace or the members' lounge, and an Access all areas level. Then create membership types: what each costs, how long it runs, what it gives access to, how many people it admits per visit and whether members get in free or pay a fixed member price.

Write default membership terms once, or give a type its own. A card keeps the terms it was sold with, even if you change them later.

Choose who becomes a member

Switch on sign-up with applications, and people apply from a page on your site: you see who they are and what they wrote, and approve or decline each one. Approving sends them the payment link. Or issue cards yourself from the back office, by payment link or as complimentary with a reason, such as a partner deal. The card starts as soon as it is paid, and arrives by email with a QR for Apple Wallet or Google Wallet.

Corporate cards carry the company name, admit the number of people you set, and remind the door to check ID.

Keep renewals coming in

The members list shows who is active, who is awaiting payment and who has expired. Renewing sends a payment link that adds the membership's length from the card's end date, so renewing early costs nothing. Cancelling stops the card at once, with the reason recorded.

Run the door for members and guests

One door app scans membership cards, tickets, table bookings and guest list names. Staff see whether the card is valid tonight, its access level, how many it admits and what the member pays. Expired, cancelled and already-used cards are refused with the reason.

For a night members pay for like everyone else, turn members away for that event, and the door shows it clearly.

Mix members' nights and public nights

Unlisted events are reached only by their link, for members' nights and private parties. Public nights sell tickets and tables as usual while members come in on their cards. The guest list handles members' guests, each with their own QR by email.

Grow the membership from your own guests

Every member is also a customer, with visits, spend and badges. Your regular guests who are not members yet are one segment away, and so are members whose cards expired. Email them about the next members' night or the renewal, and see what each email brought in.
